Dr. Kharod is one of the best doctors I have ever been seen by. She is incredibly attentive and listened to all of my concerns. I was being seen for randomly swelling lips/face. Turns out so many of my other ticks (persistent cough, runny nose, itchy skin) I dismissed as just me being me, what I had dismissed as "colds" for years were actually allergy reactions. I appreciate her comprehensive care to get to the root of my issues, not surface treatment. I feel so much better already.
I can't say enough about how thorough she is. Nothing is rushed about her time with her patients. Before my tests, she explained exactly what we were testing for, how the tests would be completed, and how we would use the results of the test. Afterwards, she went line by line through my skin test results, and through current and past blood work, explaining changes and what they meant to my health. Also, I was sent home with HARD COPIES of my test results that she made notes on to further explain my issues. No logging into "the portal" to retrieve them to talk to my husband about the info I forgot, which we all forget after an appointment. By the way, they do have a portal and I received an email that stated by account was updated within 10 minutes after I left the office.
She explained multiple treatments options, not just one, and explained what would be covered by insurance and what would not, and why. She also explained treatment might be more convenient based on time commitment, cost, shot/not, etc. Nothing in her office seemed to be cookie cutter, one size fits all, or cold. Everything seemed customized to what my needs were. I appreciate that so very much. In an age where medicine is getting less and less personal, Dr. Kharod's office is just the opposite.
I could not recommend Dr. Kharod more. Anyone who is able to have her as a doctor, I would take advantage of her care. She is exceptional.
