Neha Kharod, MD
Dr. Neha Kharod, a specialist in allergy, asthma, and immunology, provides comprehensive care for both children and adults. Her expertise spans a wide range of conditions, including asthma, allergic diseases, and immunologic disorders. Dr. Kharod has a keen focus on several areas including food and skin allergies, eczema, and asthma. She is a member of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Medical Association (AMA).
Dr. Kharod pursued her undergraduate studies at Johns Hopkins University and while awaiting the start of her medical studies at the University of Maryland, Dr. Kharod embarked on a transformative mission. She traveled to India to engage in medical missionary work, intending to stay for just six months, but fate had other plans—she remained there for the next five years.
In India, Dr. Kharod actively participated in volunteer efforts, including providing medical aid during natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods. Her commitment to healing extended beyond borders.
During her time abroad, Dr. Kharod also pursued her medical education. She earned her medical degree from Pramukh Swami Medical College in India, a testament to her dedication and adaptability.
Returning to the United States, Dr. Kharod continued her medical journey and completed a rigorous residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at SUNY Buffalo, honing her expertise in these critical fields.
Armed with knowledge and compassion, she set her sights on a sunnier horizon and Georgia became her new home—a place where warmth permeates both the climate and the hearts of its people. Dr. Kharod practiced medicine for seven years in Metro Atlanta before relocating to the serene Savannah area to be closer to her cherished family.
Dr. Kharod now resides in Richmond Hill, GA, where she enjoys a rich life outside of medicine. Her interests include reading, swimming, biking, music, and travel. However, she reserves Saturdays and Sundays exclusively for her love of football.
