Dr. Kharod attended Johns Hopkins University for her undergraduate studies and finished early. While waiting to start her medical studies at the University of Maryland, she went to Asia for medical missionary work for 6 months and ended up staying for the next 5 years. There, she participated in volunteer work, including medical camps for earthquake, tsunami and flood relief. During this time, she also got her medical degree from Pramukh Swami Medical College in India. She then returned stateside, where she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology of SUNY Buffalo before moving down to sunnier climes in Georgia. Dr. Kharod practiced for seven years in Metro Atlanta before moving to the Savannah area to be closer to family.
Dr. Kharod lives in Richmond Hill, GA with her husband and son. She enjoys reading, swimming, biking, listening to music, traveling, and cooking—except for Saturdays and Sundays, which are reserved purely for football.
Dr. Kharod is accepting patients for in-office and telehealth appointments.
