Shital Patel, MD
Dr. Patel is an Internal Medicine Physician in Pooler, GA with special training and skill in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of adults patients across the spectrum from good health to complex illness. Dr. Patel excels at diagnosing puzzling issues and providing ongoing care for chronic conditions. He is a member of American College of Physicians (ACP), Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), and American Medical Association (AMA).
Transitioning from eight years of inpatient care in Buffalo and Atlanta, Dr. Patel is excited to bring his expertise and dedication to outpatient medicine. He’s committed to providing accessible, balanced, and comprehensive care tailored to your unique needs.
Dr. Patel is particularly passionate about geriatric care, having a special interest in helping older adults manage multiple chronic conditions. In addition to his primary care focus, he draws upon his experience as a Hospice Physician, offering valuable insights into palliative care and end-of-life options.
Originally from Des Plaines, IL, Dr. Patel earned his medical degree in India and completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Richmond Hill community.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Patel cherishes time with his wife, Dr. Neha Kharod (an allergist), and their son. He enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, golfing, and cheering on his beloved Chicago sports teams!
